Advisory: March 2nd, Assemblymember David Weprin Marks Anniversary of Auto Fraud Death

At the exact location of the staged auto accident that killed Alice Ross, Assemblyman David Weprin will be joined by leaders of the groups New Yorkers Stand Against Auto Insurance Fraud (NYSAIF) to demand passage of “Alice’s Law.” Alice’s Law would amend the penal law in relation to staging a motor vehicle accident and impose tougher criminal penalties on those who engage in staged accidents.

Klein-Zebrowski bill would toughen penalties for insurance fraud

The Senate passed legislation last week that would enforce harsher penalties against those trying to avoid auto insurance fees by committing fraud.
