As an Auto Insurance Policy Holder and Taxpayer in the State of New York, I must say that I am absolutely outraged that auto accident fraud continues to be a significant problem and causes my insurance rates to skyrocket! These individuals taking advantage of the broken no-fault system are organized, calculating, and part of a big business and frankly, I won’t stand for it. I am paying a “fraud tax” just for driving my automobile! Not only that, but these sort of accidents put my life in risk! As my elected official, I urge you to pass legislation to help alleviate our states burdensome system. No-fault fraud is costing me money, and I demand that action be taken to reduce incidents of fraud.Enact comprehensive, meaningful no-fault insurance reform that puts citizens like me, first.
